Q: What SIM card does it take?

It uses a standard size SIM card. In other words, the “old” regular size. Not micro or mini.

Q: What network will it work on?

These phones work on any network in South Africa

Q: What is your return policy?

If you don’t like the phone for whatever reason then simply return it to us within 7 days and we’ll refund your purchase less R250 to cover our courier fees and if we need to replace the packaging of the phone. Of course, if there is something wrong with the phone when you receive it we will replace it or offer a full refund.

Q: What kind of warranty do I get?

We offer a 1 year warranty. If the phone develops a fault during this period that is not due to negligent use then we will repair or replace it free of charge. You will need to send us the faulty phone.

Q: Do you have stock?

If our product page shows the “add to cart” button then we have stock. All our stock is held locally.

Q: How long does shipping take?

We ship phones from our local office by courier. Delivery to main centers takes around 24 to 48 hours. Deliveries over weekends or to outlying areas may take a day or 2 longer. Once we ship the phone we will email you tracking details.

Q: Can the phone run Whatsapp?

No. It can’t run any apps as it is not a smartphone. It can send and receive calls and SMS messages.

Q: What does the SOS button do?

If the SOS button is pressed and held for 2 seconds then the phone will send an emergency SMS to up to 5 numbers that you can assign. The phone will also try to call those numbers automatically until someone answers.

Q: How do I change the quantity of phones I’m ordering?

Go to your “Cart” via the menu or simply click on this link: https://www.phoneforelderly.co.za/cart/ . Change the number in the “Quantity” section and then click the “Update Cart” button below the total Rand value. Then click the “Proceed to Checkout” button.
